Orellana define al pentecostalismo como un movimiento religioso de tipo carismático con un rostroeminentemente marginal y local, que nació en el seno del protestantismo racional extranjero en1909 y 1910. Es un movimiento que se abrió paso en una sociedad tradicional en crisis, donde tomó ciertos elementos y prácticas de la religiosidad popular imperante, como a su vez, conservó la fe protestante y sus elementos esenciales, pero los adaptó a la cultura popular.Downloads
