El presente trabajo de investigación es un viaje que trata sobre las condiciones materiales y sanitarias en una de las cárceles mexicanas más emblemáticas del la segunda mitad del XIX,la de Belem. Heredera de una época en que los sistemas penitenciarios fueron vistos como la mejor opción para lograr la enmienda de los trasgresores sociales; buena parte de suexistencia estuvo signada por un sinnúmero de carencias materiales e higiénicas que contrastaban abismalmente con el “deber ser” que suponían los sistemas penitenciarios.Downloads
