El Refugio de las Masas, publicada en Brasil por la editora Paz e Terra en 1970, se le considera una obra clásica por investigadores brasileños, definió las grandes líneas que hasta hoy inspiran el debate sobre el protestantismo latinoamericano como un problema sociológico. Aunque inspiró varios investigadores brasileños, el trabajo de D’Epinay repercutió, en especial, sobre las discusiones de tres temas: 1) el crecimiento pentecostal en Brasil; 2) la función delprotestantismo en fase de la transición de la sociedad tradicional para la moderna; 3) la alienación política del pentecostalismo.Downloads
