En la presente investigación se aborda la representación del cuerpo promovida por la comunidad presbiteriana en México a principios del siglo XX como parte de un discurso que buscó incidir en tres dimensiones: la educativa, la ética y la salubre. Se parte de la idea de que tal representación fue una de las piedras angulares de este proyecto evangélico que buscó generar hombres nuevos, cuya vida estuviera dedicada a Cristo y a la creación de una nación sana. En estos términos, el cuerpo se revela como un instrumento dado por Cristo y cuidado por el hombre, porque sin él y sus cuidados nada se podría lograr.
