Dentro de la amplia y productiva trayectoria de Renée de la Torre, el libro Religiosidades Nómadas. Creencias y prácticas heterodoxas en Guadalajara no es un libro más. Es un libro que tiene un sabor de cosecha intelectual para mi gusto, un sabor de ensayo, de un escrito que se puede hacer después de atravesar por la redacción de obras que resumen proyectos más específicos, y que se hace para retomar esas mismas obras, pero con cierta distancia, más perspectiva y más sabiduría. De ellas se extraen aquellos resultados e innovaciones de enfoque y de método creadas en distintos momentos puntuales en la medida en la que han permitido acometer un cuestionamiento intelectual de más largo aliento. Un cuestionamiento que tiene su centro en las razones que le llevan a ser lo que es y a dedicarse a lo que se dedica: una investigadora de las culturas contemporáneas. Por eso creo que, ya sea por la centralidad que posee el cuestionamiento que lo origina en la trayectoria de la autora, por el largo tiempo que llevó su preparación, o por el lugar subjetivo desde donde Renée de la Torre puede escribir sobre ello hoy, este libro tiene algo de biografía intelectual.
