UN CONFLICTO PLASMADO EN CARTAS: CONVERGENCIAS Y DIVERGENCIAS ENTRE SACERDOTES Y COOPERADORAS SALESIANAS. ARGENTINA (1920-1926)

En 1920 la Comisión Central de Señoras Cooperadoras creó una subcomisión para auxiliar a los salesianos en la Patagonia, la cual inició un proceso de autonomización que se extendió hasta 1926. Los conflictos desencadenados quedaron registrados en la correspondencia. El objetivo del artículo es identificar las funciones de las cartas y estudiar su contenido, a fin de analizar los consensos y los desacuerdos entre los actores involucrados, así como también las estrategias de las cooperadoras para inclinar a su favor la resolución del problema. Sostenemos que las autoridades de la Comisión Central opusieron resistencia al desmembramiento de la misma con el fin de mantener el control sobre la subcomisión, la acción unificada y la posición de preeminencia de su grupo. Las presidentas apelaron a los sacerdotes –tanto a los inspectores como a los superiores– para que operaran como árbitros. Como consecuencia, influyeron sobre el diseño normativo y práctico que dio marco a su accionar colectivo.
