La sociología de la experiencia religiosa surge como respuesta a la necesidad del análisis social del hecho religioso más allá de la sociología de la religión o de la teología. La creencia se sitúa en la base del análisis con el fin de comprender los fenómenos religiosos actuales cada vez más polarizados entre la increencia y el compromiso de vida en el marco religioso. Tras hacer un breve recorrido por el desarrollo de la sociología de la religión y su teoría de la secularización se presentan los dos fundamentos de la sociología de la experiencia religiosa: la redefinición del concepto de racionalidad, siguiendo especialmente la obra de Boudon, y la constatación de los compromisos valorativos de las Ciencias Sociales. Finalmente se proponen algunas posibles líneas de desarrollo de la sociología de la experiencia religiosa en el ámbito católico.Downloads
