Los albores de la Antropología de la Muerte. La muerte en los escritos de Tylor y Frazer

A pesar de la superación en los planteamientos de la llamada antropología evolucionista, en sus representantes Tylor y Frazer, sus descripciones y relatos sobre la muerte, han sido corroboradas por estudios arqueológicos y etnológicos actuales. Esto autores hacen una descripción de la muerte, el morir y del cadáver, como algo característicos de lassociedades nómades, poblaciones migrantes y civilizaciones premodernas. Los espacios demuerte estaban alrededor de la misma familia indígena en donde se producían los decesos. Estos autores plantean una transmutación de los muertos; la muerte sedente; el culto a los muertos; y la muerte itineral. En estas concepciones de la muerte, todavía no existen espacios mortuorios paradisíacos, como promesa compensadora. La metodología empleada, para este trabajo, es el análisis de los textos, referente a la muerte, plateado por los autores.Downloads
